You can just sprinkle a little amount of baking soda on your mattress for a short duration and put it in the sun. Then you can remove it with the help of a vacuum cleaner. The result would be that you will be left with a clean mattress that smells great. You can add larger amounts of baking soda to places that smell more than the rest of the mattress.

Vinegar can save you in such situations. Never put concentrated vinegar on the stain but dilute it with water. Leave it on the stain for about five to ten minutes. It helps in various situations like bed-wetting, vomiting etc., and saves you from spending an extra amount on a new mattress.
It is very difficult to remove blood stains from your mattress. It goes deep into the fabric. To remove those stains hydrogen peroxide is very effective. Take some salt, some dish wash and one fourth tablespoon hydrogen peroxide and form a paste. The consistency of the paste should neither be extra thick or extra runny.
Apply this paste to the affected area. Leave the paste there till it dries and hardens up. Remove the paste. If still there is a little bit of stain left behind dab a clean cloth, white in colour, in hydrogen peroxide and dab it onto the stain consistently until the stain completely fades away. You can even remove pee stains with the help of hydrogen peroxide.
Borax is another option that can be used to get a clean mattress. Soak the area that needs to be cleaned with water or just make it damp. After making the area damp, add some bora to the spot and rub it carefully in a circular motion and soon you will see that the stain is fading away. Once you see that the stain has completely vanished let the two of them dry and vacuum it out of the mattress.
You may not be familiar with this product but they are also quite effective in obtaining a clean mattress. They are mostly available in the market as pet deodorizers. Select the area that has to be cleaned and dampen it with the product. The cleaner will remove any kind of stain that is organic in nature or any odour that is coming from your mattress.
You should only use bleach to get tough stains out of a white mattress. It works exceptionally well in removing urine stains, removing any bad smells or urine on the mattress. Remember to be careful while using bleach and opening up all the windows.
Also, don’t use bleach in its concentrated form but dilute it with the help of water and you could add just a tad bit of soap to make the cleaning more effective. Fill the mixture in a spray bottle and apply it to the stain or the area to be cleaned. Then scrub the stain with a cloth or brush. Keep on repeating this process until you see that there is no stain left behind.
Lemon and salt together can naturally break down the molecules of the stains that are present on your mattress. Mix well lemon juice and salt to form a paste. Now take the paste and directly apply it to the stain or the entire mattress and wait for half an hour or an hour. Wipe away the residue with the help of a cloth. Let it dry out completely.
Often we see that our mattress develops moulds on them which can be a very harmful disease for your mattresses. For removing them, rubbing alcohol is quite effective. Do not use the concentrated form but mix it with equal parts of water. Start cleaning the area in a circular motion. Wash your mattress with water to get rid of the mixture.
If you want to give your mattress a deep clean there is no better option than using tea tree oil. Take a box and mix tea tree oil and bi-carb soda and apply this mixture to the area to be cleaned. Let it be there for an hour or so. The stain will go away. Tea tree oil is also known to keep the bugs away hence it will repel bed bugs and dust mites.
Essential oils such as eucalyptus, lavender, wintergreen and peppermint are quite effective in removing the dust mites that pose a threat to your mattress.
